Capacity

We offer events for you and up to 75 guests. This does not include venue or vendor staff.

Alcohol

An insured TABC certified bartender and/or catering company with liquor liability insurance is required to serve alcohol. If serving liquor, a $200.00 add on charge will be applied to the selected package price to provide uniformed security for the event. Drunken/Violent disturbances are prohibited and subject to immediate removal from the premises and possible termination of event without refund. 

Accommodations

We currently do not offer accommodations on site. However, hotels and lodging in surrounding areas (Bastrop and Giddings) may be able to offer blocked room rates.

Cancellation Policy

In case of a cancellation, your down payment and any payments made prior to the event are forfeited, but your security deposit is refunded. If you wish to reschedule, you will be charged a rebooking fee. Your security deposit will transfer as the security deposit for your next event.

Rehearsals

Rehearsal time slots are by appointment only. You are not required to book a rehearsal time, but it’s highly encouraged. You will be emailed to scheduled a slot when your event date gets closer.

Parking

Parking is not permitted at the front of the house. We have available parking on Caldwell Street. If coming on site for a tour or rehearsal, you are free to park in our driveway. Vendors may park in the driveway as an unloading and loading zone only on event day. We will help to direct parking on day of your event.

Requirements to Book

To secure your selected event date, we require a 50% down payment of your selected service package plus a $300 Security Deposit.

If your date is within 30 days of the signed contract date, the total package amount and security deposit are required to secure your booking.

Outside Vendors

We have a few vetted vendors, but you are welcome to use whichever vendors you choose. We request you provide a copy of our contract to each of your vendors to ensure they meet our requirements prior to your event day.

Visiting Animals

Dogs are permitted on the premises, but must be leashed at all times. We have a number of resident cats that freely roam the property - please consider this prior to bringing the dog(s) to the venue. Animal waste must be picked up and disposed of responsibly by the animal(s) handler.  No other types of visiting animals are permitted. 

Decorations & Candles

Glitter, confetti, rice, silly string, and birdseed is prohibited.

Flower petals or soap bubbles are allowed outside only. 

Candles are allowed outside only and must be enclosed in a votive or glass. No candles are permitted in any indoor space on the property! 

Outdoor Music

Out of respect for our neighbors and community, music must be turned off by 10pm. Live bands are prohibited. However, singular or small group musicians for ceremony or dining entertainment (without use of speakers or amplifiers) are allowed.

Wheelchair Accessibility

Not all areas of the property and house are wheelchair accessible. Please prepare or inform any guests to bring any equipment they may need to make their visit more enjoyable.

Tours

Press the “I’m Interested” button at the top right of this page and complete the contact information. You will be sent a welcome brochure and offered a link to book a tour.

Estate Visits are setup in one hour blocks. Once booked, you will receive a confirmation email and reminders. Please cancel if you are not able to make the appointment. We look forward to seeing you!

Weather

Weather in our area can be unpredictable, particularly with wind and rain in the spring and fall. We can solely offer indoor contingencies for events with 35 guests or less.

Tent Rental

For parties with guest count of 30+, we highly recommend seeking third party tent rental options for maximum comfort of your guests. We can accommodate tent sizes up to 40’ X 60’.

Catering

We require both caterers and bartenders to have general liability insurance. We highly recommend clients obtain a day-of event liability insurance policy.

Outside catering vendors are permitted to use the house’s indoor kitchen as a staging area. If any kitchen appliance is requested for use, the venue owner must approve the request prior to the event.

Exit Items

The use of confetti, birdseed, and rice are prohibited. Flower petals or soap bubbles are allowed outside only. Exit ceremonies with use of sparklers must be pre-approved by venue owners, and supervised by the venue Manager on Duty at the time of your event.
